The macro-trends shaping lithium demand are unstoppable 1. Electric Vehicle (EV) Proliferation: o The automotive sector is the bedrock of demand. Lithium remains the foundational component of batteries. Increasing battery sizes and advanced high-nickel chemistries (e.g., NMC 811) as well as cost-effective Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) platforms requires massive volumes of lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide o Electric heavy-duty vehicle: Electric truck sales doubled in 2025 to reach 9% of truck sales worldwide. In 2025, 25% of all the heavy trucks sold in China were electric — basically in line with analysts’ forecasts for 2030 o Sales of electric buses reached almost 70 000 globally in 2025, growing 12% year-on-year. Battery electric city buses reached a share ofover 55% in 2025 in the European Union, up from around 45% 2. The Rise of Grid-Scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS): o Renewable energy integration has sparked a surge in stationary and co-located BESS, which rely on lithium-ion technology to store intermittent power from solar and wind, to offset curtailment and zero/negative captured power prices o General Electrification: with subsequent need for grid-stabilization, grid-modeling, intraday-trading o Datacenters require special BESS, as instant backup power in case of emergencies and redundancies, as support to AI workload spikes or grid stabilization, and as cost optimization tools 3. Geopolitics and Reshoring Supply Chains: o Western governments now classify processed lithium as a critical national security issue. U.S. Critical Minerals framework, EU CRMA, push for domestic refinement to reduce reliance on the Asian-Pacific supply chain o Reshoring strategy to navigate regulatory export bans (such as those in Zimbabwe) and optimize logistics, major lithium producers are increasingly developing intermediate products - like lithium chloride and lithium sulphate - to ship to downstream refiners closer to the end user 42

The Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA) “will ensure EU access to a secure and sustainable supply of critical raw materials, enabling Europe to meet its 2030 climate and digital objectives”2. Highlights of the CRMA include: • Lithium classified as both a Critical & Strategic material (feldspar classified as critical) • Minimal domestic capacities by 2030: >10% of the EU's annual consumption for extraction; >40% for processing; >25% for recycling • The Act will simplify permitting procedures for critical raw materials projects in the EU (2yrs for extraction projects) • Selected “Strategic Projects” will benefit from support for access to EU finance (EIB, programs, etc.) Additional European policy pillars include the ‘RESourceEU Action Plan’ (2025) and the ‘Industrial Accelerator Act’ (2026) “Both the Covid pandemic and war in Ukraine have highlighted the fundamental need for resilient industrial value chains, including batteries, for the EU’s economic growth and decarbonisation as well as for its strategic autonomy…”1 Li Raw Material Extraction UPSTREAM DOWNSTREAM - THE LITHIUM BATTERY VALUE CHAIN - Chemical Refining Active Materials Cell/Pack Manufacture Use Recycling MIDSTREAM Savannah’s BLP Phase 1 is set to deliver 87%3 of this target by itself, from 2029 Europe is taking action, with global participation Creating its own ‘Lithium Battery Value Chain’ 43savannahresources.com | #EnergyofBarroso | info@Savannahresources.com | @SavannahRes 1.
